One of the most common ways that people receive divine healing is when somebody lays hands on them and prays for them. The power of God that resides in us because the Holy Spirit lives in us flows out of the hands that are being laid on the sick person, and they get well.
Loving God , I pray that you will comfort me in my suffering, lend skill to the hands of my healers, and bless the means used for my cure . Give me such confidence in the power of your grace, that even when I am afraid, I may put my whole trust in you ; through our Savior Jesus Christ . Amen.
In Christian theology, the Gifts of healing are among the spiritual gifts listed in 1 Corinthians 12. As an extraordinary charism, gifts of healing are supernatural enablements given to a believer to minister various kinds of healing and restoration to individuals through the power of the Holy Spirit .
Take time to remember how much God loves you and those you are praying for. Remember all the ways God has been faithful in the past. Pray the Word. Be comfortable not knowing what to pray. Invite others to pray with you. Find peace in surrendering to God’s will. Worship God .
Think, O’ God , of our friend who is ill, whom we now commend to Your compassionate regard. that no healing is too hard if it be Your will. We therefore pray that You bless our friend with Your loving care, renew his/her strength, and heal what ails him/her in Your loving name.
“God, thank you for being with us right now. God, we thank you that you never leave us, that you never forsake us, but you love us. We trust you, and pray this in your name. Amen.”
I hope they will encourage you to make 2021 a year of prayer . Know to whom you are speaking. Thank him. Ask for God’s will. Say what you need. Ask for forgiveness. Pray with a friend. Pray the Word. Memorize Scripture.
In his preaching, Jesus refers twice to doctors: “Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do ” (Mt 9:12), and “Surely you will quote me this proverb, ‘Physician, cure yourself’” (Lk 4:23).
In the New Testament the laying on of hands was associated with the receiving of the Holy Spirit (see Acts 8:14–19). The New Testament also associates the laying on of hands with the conferral of authority or designation of a person to a position of responsibility. (See Acts 6:6, Acts 13:3; and 1 Timothy 4:14.
Isaiah 41:10 – God strengthens you So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God . I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. God has promised us His strength. He will never give you a trial you are unable to handle.
