Saint Anne and Saint Joachim, to be precise. Who are these wonderful people? Why, Jesus’s grandparents, of course! In fact, they are Mary’s parents .
Even the Bible makes mention of Jesus’s blood relatives . The Bible also documents Christ’s siblings: some unamed sisters and four brothers, Judas, Simon, Joses, and James. However, records from Jewish families tell the stories of other family members who were not recorded in the Bible.
According to Matthew 1:16 ” Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary”, while according to Luke 3:23, Joseph is said to be “the son of Heli “.

Saint Anne was the grandmother of Jesus Christ. She was born from the House of David, the line which was prophesied to give birth to Christ. In Hebrew, her name was quite possibly Hannah, as Anne is the Greek derivative of the name Hannah.
Jesus does not have a last name . Last names were not common in those times. Christ is not a name , but a title. Christ means “anointed” or “Messiah”, so Jesus became the “Christ” or “Messiah” when he got baptized at the age of 30.
Jesus is a lineal descendant of a royal bloodline . The Book of Matthew 1:1-17 describes Jesus’ bloodline, which spans 42 generations. Jesus’ bloodline includes King Solomon and King David. Jesus experienced marriage and produced offspring with Mary Magdalene.
Jesus had a father, Joseph, a mother, Mary, four brothers, James, Joses, Simon, and Judas, and at least two sisters. That is eight. Her husband Zebedee was Jesus ‘ uncle . Their sons James and John were Jesus ‘ cousins.
Joseph first appears in the Bible in the gospels of Matthew and Luke; in Matthew, Joseph’s lineage is traced back to King David. According to the Bible, Joseph was born circa 100 B.C.E. and later wed the Virgin Mary , Jesus’s mother.
But by the time Jesus begins his public ministry at age 30 , Joseph is notably absent. Mary is accompanied by Jesus or other relatives in all accounts, and entrusted to John at the cross, suggesting no direct male relatives were alive. So Joseph died when Jesus was some where between 12 and 30 years old .
The earliest Christians maintained that Jesus was a human being who was made God – a god – a divine being. Later they ended up saying that Jesus was born to the union of God and a mortal because the Holy Spirit came upon Mary and that’s how she conceived Jesus , so Jesus literally had God as his father.
They reached Egypt after a 65 kilometers journey where they lived for three years until after the death of Herod in 4 B.C. when Joseph had a dream that it is safe to return to Israel. The family traveled to Nazareth which took them a journey of at least 170 kilometers.
The same reasoning could be used to justify the eating of any meats that Jesus ate , if it is assumed that he did indeed eat other kinds of meat (the Bible does not explicitly say Jesus ate any meat other than fish, and some writers have made much of the fact that no lamb is mentioned at the Last Supper.)
