“Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. My Father will love the one who loves me, and I too will love them and show myself to them.” The secret things belong to God (Deuteronomy 29:29), but through faith in Christ , He sends the Holy Spirit, who reveals mysteries, wisdom, and inspiration.
In Luke, Jesus tells the disciples to preach repentance and forgiveness, and promises that they will have divine power. In John, Jesus says the disciples will have the Holy Spirit and the authority to forgive sins and to withhold forgiveness. In Acts, Jesus promises the disciples that the Holy Spirit will inspire them.
a task which took him a year and a half, Storms came up with a grand total of 8,810 promises ( 7,487 of them being promises made by God to humankind).
The 7 Promises of God I will be with you. I will protect you. I will be your strength. I will answer you. I will provide for you. I will give you peace. I will always love you.
He later confirmed the promise to Abraham’s son Isaac (Genesis 26:3), and then to Isaac’s son Jacob (Genesis 28:13). The Book of Exodus describes the Promised Land in terms of the territory from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates river (Exodus 23:31).
As 2 Corinthians 1:20 states, “For all the promises of God find their Yes in him [Christ]. The promises of God are fulfilled in Christ “for his glory.” You Should Not Make Promises to God Because You Are Flawed. Another reason we should not make promises to God is because we will never be able to keep them.
In Luke: ” Father , forgive them, for they know not what they do” “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise (in response to one of the two thieves crucified next to him) ” Father , into your hands I commit my spirit” (last words)
Part 4: Farewell prayer John 17:1–26 is generally known as the Farewell Prayer or the High Priestly Prayer, given that it is an intercession for the coming Church. It is by far the longest prayer of Jesus in any of the gospels.

The promise of blessing and redemption It can be found in Genesis 12:1 -3, where God promises to bless Abraham and all of his descendants. As part of this last covenant, God asked Abraham to remove his foreskin and the foreskin of all Jewish boys after him.
In this covenant , God promises to make the Israelites his treasured possession among all people and “a kingdom of priests and a holy nation”, if they follow God’s commandments.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God , and they shall be my people.
When the angels are casting Adam out of paradise, he asks to be allowed to implore God , saying: “For I alone have sinned .” He begs God to be allowed to eat of the Tree of Life.
In the King James Version of the Bible the text reads: But when ye pray , use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do : for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. In praying , don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do ; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.
Personally, I do believe that silent prayer is perfectly fine. If it wasn’t, I think Jesus would have told us so. Whether you pray in silence or out loud, I believe that God hears both kind of prayers . As long as your prayers are earnest, He will hear and answer them.
