In the days when Herod was king of Judea, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth in Galilee to announce to a virgin named Mary, who was betrothed to a man named Joseph, that a child would be born to her and she was to name him Jesus , for he would be the son of God and rule over Israel forever.

The document says Jews and Christians in fact share the wait for the Messiah , though Jews are waiting for the first coming, and Christians for the second.
Psalm 90:2 says, “From forever in the past to forever in the future, you are God .” — Common English Bible. This God is so unlimited in power that time and space cannot bind Him or define Him. He created a universe that has no beginning and no end (Genesis 1:1).

The earliest Christians maintained that Jesus was a human being who was made God – a god – a divine being. Later they ended up saying that Jesus was born to the union of God and a mortal because the Holy Spirit came upon Mary and that’s how she conceived Jesus , so Jesus literally had God as his father.
