The Gospel of Judas In this version of events, Jesus asked Judas to betray him to the authorities, so that he could be freed from his physical body and fulfill his destiny of saving humanity.
But somehow, though he couldn’t see how, Peter believed that Jesus could overcome. He believed that Jesus would have mercy on him, and forgive his failure. Even after, Judas had the same opportunity that Peter had. But the truth was, he simply did not believe in Jesus , which is why he betrayed him in the first place.
It goes on to describe Judas as Jesus ‘ closest friend, someone who understands Christ’s true message and is singled out for special status among Jesus ‘ disciples. In the key passage Jesus tells Judas , “‘you will exceed all of them. For you will sacrifice the man that clothes me. ‘”
Judas chose to betray Jesus for money. Peter chose to deny Jesus for safety and security. They by no means had to do those things just as you and I don’t have to sin.
The Gospel of Mark, the earliest gospel, gives no motive for Judas’s betrayal , but does present Jesus predicting it at the Last Supper , an event also described in all the later gospels. The Gospel of Matthew 26:15 states that Judas committed the betrayal in exchange for thirty pieces of silver.
Conclusion. Understanding the Gospels in theological, historical, and factual harmony, and considering explicit chronological statements about the events of the Last Supper lead us to the strong conclusion that Judas did not partake of the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper .
The assumption that the Beloved Disciple was one of the Apostles is based on the observation that he was apparently present at the Last Supper, and Matthew and Mark state that Jesus ate with the Twelve. Thus, the most frequent identification is with John the Apostle , who would then be the same as John the Evangelist .

According to Matthew 26:50, Jesus responded by saying : “Friend, do what you are here to do”. Luke 22:48 quotes Jesus saying ” Judas , are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss ?” Jesus ‘ arrest follows immediately.
Predestination, Judas had no choice but to betray Jesus . Choice , Judas could have decided not to betray Jesus . It was Judas ‘ destiny to betray Jesus , but he had a choice to repent afterward.
Look to Jesus as the Example of Strength Jesus is a great example of how to handle betrayal . We may not seek out being a martyr, but when faced with difficulties, we can remind ourselves that Jesus forgave those who hurt him, so we can strive to forgive those who have harmed us.

With the Keys of St. Peter , often one key is gold and the other silver. The first represents the power to bind and loose in heaven , spiritual authority, while the second represents the power to bind and loose on earth, temporal authority. Jesus gave Peter “the keys of the kingdom of heaven ,” not the keys to heaven .
If , as you say, Judas Iscariot had not betrayed Jesus , Jesus would have been arrested, and crucified and as for Judas he would have been crucified with Jesus . Judas would not have betrayed Jesus , but still, he would be killed.
