According to all four gospels, Jesus was brought to the “Place of a Skull” and crucified with two thieves, with the charge of claiming to be “King of the Jews”, and the soldiers divided his clothes before he bowed his head and died .
The Bible tells us that Jesus died and rose again not only so that we could receive forgiveness, but even more so, He died and rose again so that we might have life. It is through His death and resurrection that we receive life.
The reason is because He knew God had sent Him into the world for one reason: To become the complete and final sacrifice for our sins. The Bible says, “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us , so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
In the light of the resurrection, then, the general meaning of his death would be that the vicarious suffering and punishment of the man Jesus has robbed death of its character as judg- ment for human existence, and vindicated the hope of man that reaches beyond death .

Nietzsche , as a mid-19th-century German philosopher, first declared God dead in the context of this idealism. He might just as well simultaneously have declared “reason” dead. Indeed, he did just that.
We cannot begin to imagine the agony He suffered physically for us, nor are we able to understand the agony He knew in that time as the weight of all the sins of all mankind were laid upon Him. Christ Jesus died for our sins . Why would anyone refuse to trust Him as Lord and Savior?

For he bore the sins of many, and made intercession for the transgressors” (Isaiah 53:12). This means that he literally gave up his life and emptied himself so that we could become full. He was numbered with the transgressors (sinners) so that he could take our sin away. He made intercession for us .
The earliest Christians maintained that Jesus was a human being who was made God – a god – a divine being. Later they ended up saying that Jesus was born to the union of God and a mortal because the Holy Spirit came upon Mary and that’s how she conceived Jesus , so Jesus literally had God as his father.
He is believed to be the Jewish messiah who is prophesied in the Hebrew Bible, which is called the Old Testament in Christianity. It is believed that through his Crucifixion and subsequent Resurrection, God offered humans salvation and eternal life, that Jesus died to atone for sin to make humanity right with God.
